The most challenging, and rewarding aspect of executing the Costume Design for Hatching Pete, was the creation of our Rooster Mascot costumes.  When one views the show, it seems like there is one mascot costume throughout.   In reality we created 6 mascot costumes in a very short amount of time.  Two for our lead characters.  Two for their Stunt Doubles, (with one less “toe” on the stunt costumes to facilitate the tumbling),  and last but not least,  Two for a professional mascot from the NBA who helped with some of our more difficult mascotting sequences.  A classic example of the fact that there is much more to Costume Design than meets the eye.
