I was the Costume Designer for the Christmas Special of this long running series.  It was an interesting situation to be in, because I had not been the Costume Designer for the series.  When the actors came into the fittings, I gave them many many options to choose from, based on researching and watching all the episodes that had already been produced.  I really allowed the actors to dress themselves from my options, rather than driving the process.  We ended up with a successful continuity from the series to the Christmas Special, that I am very pleased with.
